Island Of Lost Souls

The last piece of the week, a truly gem, a score that I was mentioned about a lot this last two weeks and I finally got last night. Here's the promotional release for a danish fantasy film "Island Of Lost Souls" and the music was composed by english- born Jane Antonia Cornish who was also an orchestrator of such films as Tomb Raider 2 and Big Fish. The music is gorgeous and powerfull, reminds me the big orchestral pieces by John Williams. Enjoy!!

Special thanks to iordanman.

I absolutely loved this score! Do you have anymore recordings from this composer. I'm a die-hard John Williams fan, and it beat my 3-year JW drought. Simply amazing... the recording and the great music on your site. Keep it up!

This is a cool score,, but come on people--- no where near the quality of John Williams! Maybe John Debney. yeah-- that is a much better analogy.

Jane Cornish is a new comer. Early 30s British girl. She really hasn't done much work as a composer and what she has done is small films not available and not epic like this. She is mostly known as an orchestrator on random projects while she worked at JoAnn Kane Music (music prep). She is close with Jeff Rona so basically she works on his projects. She does do lots of library music so check your BMG music library CDs for tracks of hers.

.. however she did win a BAFTA for "Five Children and It" (see what I mean?? Ever heard of that film or even anyone you know seen it?)..

ALL of the films she has scored so far:
- Five Children and It
- ... So Goes the Nation.
- Solstice
- Island of Lost Souls
