Mortal Kombat: Annihilation

For this sequel, George S. Clinton again is the film composer giving a modern music style with techno touch, includes a remixed version of the classic theme of Mortal Kombat with some dialogues of the videogame.

Stargaze

This film is a documentary about stars and galaxies and includes music previously released by new age group called "2002". The music is calm and beautiful, you can imagine a space travel through the universe, a really enjoyable experience if you like this kind of music.

Peaceful Warrior

Director Victor Salva (Jeepers Creepers 1 & 2) again called film composer Bennet Salvay to score this sport-related movie, unfortunately the official release only includes songs but here you can get the original score.

Mystery, Alaska

Another nice and still unreleased score by Carter Burwell for this 1999 movie. Sound quality is very good and includes the covers.

To Walk With Lions

Hello everyone, Peti is back today for the last posts of the month.

Here's the unreleased score composed by Alan Reeves for this 1999 film starred by the late Richard Harris. The music is full orchestral with some african sounds, a great job!

Tiempo de Valientes

This is an argentinian movie, a comedy about a couple policemen and their work togheter. The music was composed by argentinean Guillermo Guareschi, a nice work with an homage to Ennio Morricone, great score!

Pollux

For this french animated movie, composers Mark Thomas and James L. Venable join forces and give us a really great work, lot of fun and action... some chorus too! Covers are included.

Turistas

Another Paul Haslinger effort, this time for a thriller film: a group of boys and girls on vacations in Brazil had an accident and stay in the jungle discovering a paradisiacal beach, but something happens... The music is modern and creepy, nothing extraordinary.

First Daughter

The last film score by the great Michael Kamen, this time in collaboration with Blake Neely who wrote the missing music for the film, Kamen's ill stopped him. The music is beautiful, melodic and with female vocals, a great enjoyment.

Monster

Brian Transeau is better known by "bt", a formely dj that composed many film scores. Here's the promo release of his music for Monster, starring Charlize Theron (who won an Oscar) and Christina Ricci.

Austin Powers In Goldmember

Here's the promotional score composed by George S. Clinton who previously composed the 2 first parts. As the last ones, the music is based on the spy theme with bossanova. Great score.

Peti is back!

After some days of vacations, Peti is back on-line. Since I got more work these days maybe I'll update the blog every friday, is just an idea. Enjoy the scores of this week!!

Dark City

The complete score composed by Trevor Jones, 2CDs full of music with excellent passages and strong orchestral sound.

Have a nice weekend!

Stepford Wives

Excellent score composed by David Arnold, the music sounds a bit like Danny Elfman, lot of fun and is a pity that there's no official release yet. Covers are included.

The Boys From Brazil

One of the most requested expanded scores by maestro Jerry Goldsmith. A very nice effort that includes a beautiful waltz for the main title. The source of the music seems a laser disc rip.

50 First Dates

Teddy Castellucci is the regular composer for the Adam Sandler films, this time Castellucci wrote a score in a tropical way, very enjoyable. Covers are included.

Return To The Blue Lagoon

Seems that Basil Poledouris actually didn't compose any new music for this sequel and the director instead re-used the music for the first film, since I never heard "The Blue Lagoon" (I know I know...) I can't say is true or not, somebody?

Moonlight & Valentino

Howard Shore was the composer of this Jovi-Goldberg-Turner film, the music is sweet and melodic, I specially enjoy the final suite of 7 min. The original score has no official release yet.

Cousteau

Some websites dedicated to greek composer Vangelis say that he actually composed the music for the homage film of the french scientist, although I can't find any info on imdb or soundtrackcollector. Anyway the music has the classic style by Vangelis, great music, but some tracks contains little sound fx.

Maya

Another LP transfer and of course still unreleased in CD, the music composed by italian Riz Ortolani for this 1966 film.

Cinéscénie du Puy du Fou

This is a promotional release of the music composed by Georges Delerue for a theme park that every year performs a recreation of some historic french passages. Sound quality is quite good but I don't like very much the dialogues contained and is not because are in french, is because are included in almos every track. Covers are included.

The Red Pony / The Agony And The Ecstasy

I recent discovered that the original suite composed by Jerry Goldsmith for the prelude of "The Agony And The Ecstasy" (Alex North) was available as the original recording in a promo release of the music for "The Red Pony", a 1973 TV movie. Sound quality in both works are average.

Gold

Another unreleased score in CD but originally available on LP, this Elmer Bernstein work is excellent including different music styles and also some songs. The sound quality is excellent and the covers are included.
